A couple people in the family were a little leary of drinking such a garden of goodness. But one sip and there was the pleasant shocked look on their face! Of the 9 people living in this house, only one has refused to drink more after one piddly little sip.(No, it wasn't Mike :) ) Perhaps he'll change his mind someday and feel the energy that I'm feeling.
Just an update on my weight. I have not lost any in a week. I eat too much at dinner and my son in law reminded me that I need to exercise. RUDE.

I think knowing their health benefits will help to keep you motivated on days when you may not feel like juicing. Remember these juicing recipes are jammed pack with nutrients your body needs. Enjoy! Apples- Some vegetable juices have a bitter taste. This is where fresh apple juice comes in handy. It's a great natural sweeter and can be combined with all vegetables. Some of the health properties in apples are: boron, cellulose, and pectin. Studies suggest that there are disease- fighting chemicals in apples that could reduce the risk in breast cancer. Apples are also good for high cholesterol, acne, arthritis and obesity. How to pick: I recommend using red and golden delicious for juicing because they are usually sweet. Make sure they are firm and free from bruises. Apples will last up to six weeks if you refrigerate them. How to pick: The best tasting tomatoes are the ones you either grow yourself or purchase at roadside stands.The prepackaged ones are picked green and ripen by the time they get to the supermarket. Usually they are tasteless. ----------------------------------------------------------------- Watermelon- Believe it or not, more than 80 percent of the nutrients in a watermelon lie in the inner rind and the outer green armor shell that most people discard. The good thing about having a juicer is that you can juice the rind and shell and get all of their nutritional benefits.
